The Basic Pistol Fundamentals Course is designed to focus on the core fundamentals of handgun operations & basic techniques of pistol shooting. This course is ideal for anyone considering owning or purchasing their first handgun. USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath).

This course is designed for the beginner student. Course materials & curriculum focuses on proper handgun shooting fundamentals and surviving deadly encounters. This course will cover the fundamentals and dynamics of carrying a concealed firearm, as well as covering the legal aspect of carrying concealed pistols in the state of Michigan preparing individuals to apply for a CPL in the state of Michigan. This course is designed for the student new to handgun shooting fundamentals. The course will focus on the shooting and handling of a handgun in relation to its real world applications from a concealed/OWB holster, in an urban environment. The students will engage targets out to 20 yards with emphasis on situational awareness, counter ambush techniques against the human predator, multiple threat engagements and the human ability on visual reaction threat response and assessments.

Individuals that pass this course will have met all training requirements set fourth by the state of Michigan in order to apply for concealed pistol license with the state of Michigan.

This course meets the requirements for Michigan ACT 5j of 1927 pa 372.

USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals

DSF Level One designed to progress students from sending rounds downrange to physical live fire training in advanced methods of weapon retention & tactics of armed self-defense.

This training is intended to remove students from their comfort zone and place them in a defensive combat environment while training the body to start working with your firearm instead of against it. From stance and grip to physical shooting technique’s & defense tactics, DSF Level One will help you learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body will naturally do while under extreme stress in a combat situation, and you will learn to apply this information precisely and effectively, regardless of student skill level.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 (DSF-L1) is a blended curriculum that includes a self paced at home e-learning module followed by a full day of live fire exercises. The course uses intuitive teaching methods designed to provide you with efficient training for the most probable types of self-defense situations. This blended learning curriculum includes the self-paced DSF-L1 online eLearning module, the DSF-L1 book, and a full day of live fire exercises at the range. On range day, we will start with a 1 hour classroom recap followed by a 5 hour LIVE-FIRE training course. Upon registration, the student will need to contact USCCA at 877-577-4800 to purchase access to the eLearning module ($30) and will be shipped the DSF-L1 book. Student’s can then complete the eLearning at home at their own pace prior to the live fire exercises. Once the e-learning portion has been completed you will need to contact Red Fox Tactical and schedule the live fire portion.

USCCA Countering The Mass Shooter Threat

Countering the Mass Shooter Threat is a comprehensive course for every school, business, public entity and family in America. We will review & analyze the data of 48 mass shootings in order to determine what can be learned from these tragedies and how formulating a comprehensive plan will help you not only avoid becoming a victim, but eliminate the presence of these shooters once and for all.

The material is presented in an easy-to-follow format with information for all experience levels. Students will cover essential lessons on pertinent topics like; pros + cons of gun-free zones, learning weapon characteristics & magazine capacity, understanding the run, hide, and fight methodology created by the Federal emergency Management Agency Department of Homeland Security. Here are just a few of the lifesaving lessons you’ll learn:

  • Create an Emergency Operations Plan: Discover how you can end attacks early and minimize the number of victims in an incident with strategic planning and preparedness training.
  • Triage and Treat The Wounded: Learn the lifesaving measures you can take to save critically injured victims after an attack is over.

USCCA Protecting Houses Of Worship

This course is designed specifically for houses of worship, Pastors, Elders, Deacons, greeters, ushers, security members, ministry leaders, those involved in the ministry in any capacity including those of the congregation. This is an educational & informative training course catered specifically to help houses of worship harbor a safe and secure environment for your ministry by creating a comprehensive plan of protection which provides peace of mind for all who enter.

The first element of the Protecting Houses Of Worship training is a site inspection & threat assessment in order to analyze current security elements such as; organizational structure, shelter zones, access control points, areas of concealment & cover, and other security measures. This will allow our experts to identify any vulnerability’s & structural weaknesses that may open the door to potential threats. This information will then be utilized to create a personalized plan of protection for your house of worship.

This training features both hands-on classroom training and live practical exercises. Participants will analyze case study and utilize table top exercises to examine and better incorporate the Run, Hide, and Fight philosophy designed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Training will conclude with church parishioners and security team members participating in a live training scenario in order to better formulate your personalized protection plan and ensure all members understand their roll in the event of an active emergency situation.

USCCA Women’s Handgun & Self Defense Fundamentals

USCCA’s “Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals” is a welcoming and engaging training guide created by a woman for women who are seeking to begin, improve upon, or add to their firearms skills.

With three distinct modules (Women’s Basic Pistol, Women’s Intermediate Pistol, and Women’s Defensive Pistol), this course is designed to reach students who are brand new to firearms and those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting. Basics and fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and then built upon, while also exploring situational awareness, common types of handguns, ammunition types, malfunctions, firearms handling skills, defensive pistol fundamentals, and the use of deadly force.

Whether you’ve never touched a firearm, you’re looking for the next steps in your training, or you’ve chosen to learn about the skills, tools, and mindset needed to use firearms for self-defense, you can be prepared to carry confidently every day with tips and techniques from experienced women in the world of firearms.
